The Passion Project's sharing circle were one of the first events we held before the first lockdown, and they were a space for artists of at any skill level to share their art without judgement or the expectation of perfection.

This time around, we're hosting this event online with the focus being on artists who don't have the opportunity to perform in person or regularly due to their disabilities/marginalisation. These are low energy event; we work around the performer, and demand very little. Everyone in the space is respectful of art and is welcoming to anyone in the space.

Performers take it in turns to share their artistry to a small audience and share their story around the piece. This is open to visual and performance artists; show off your unfinished voice notes, share old performances, present art pieces your not quite pleased with.

Tickets are free and available on Ticket Tailor but this time it's a bit different. We're using this performance to fundraise vaccines for those who cannot access them.

Who is The Vaccine Fund UK?

The Vaccine Fund UK and Ireland (which I am also a part of) has continued to advocate for better support for vaccine access, however we've found that due to the lack of access, or inadequate vaccines - maybe people have had to go without.

The Vaccine Fund UK and Ireland's mission statement is the following:

We're looking to either partially or fully pay for private vaccinations for disenfranchised individuals/high risk people or direct people to organisations who are providing free vaccination.

In the past year, we've found it hard to raise funds to provide transportation and vaccinations therefore, we're looking to our community. We know that many people would get vaccinated from COVID and other vaccines if they could. But the barriers often are too high and the NHS continually make it hard for us to protect ourselves and each other.

Hopefully with this event, we'll be able to continue our work this year and cater to our local community with the Autumn Booster coming up.
